When’s the right time to send save the dates?

For most weddings, we recommend ordering save the dates 7 months out and sending them 6 months ahead of your big day. For destination weddings, we recommend ordering 10-12 months ahead of your wedding and sending 8-10 months before.

What goes on a save the date?

You want people to a) start prepping for travel if they’re out-of-towners, and b) mark their calendars so that they don’t book anything else that day. Printing the date (duh) and wedding location should do the trick. Sharing your wedding website address helps, too.

What kind of photos work best on save the dates?

Our favorite thing about our save the dates is that almost all of them have room to upload your own custom photo. Many couples use a simple engagement photo or casual snapshot, but some also use a hi-res photo of their favorite place.
